Regan was an actor for nearly 30 years before becoming the 40th President of the United States in 1980. He made over 50 movies before becoming a politician.

Schwarzenegger didn't even speak English when he arrived here from Austria. After making a name for himself as THE action star of the 1980s, he served as Governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

Clint Eastwood famously spoke to an empty chair at the 2012 Republican National Convention. But the outspoken Conservative has done more than just talk politics; he was elected mayor of the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in 1986.

In 2014, the openly gay former American Idol finalists ran for Congress in North Carolina ... and won the Democratic primary! He later lost the seat to Republican incumbent Renee Elmers in the general election later that year.
