When Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 5 got underway, we knew the girls were in for their toughest competition to date against a leading L.A. studio.
What we didn't anticipate was Abby full-on melting down, leading the moms - already at odds with her - to question her ability to lead the company.
If you watch Dance Moms online, you know conflict is par for the course, but this took it to a new level and left the future of the operation in doubt.
Another superb team's presence at the facility in L.A. rattled her almost immediately, and the moms felt Abby simply couldn't handle the pressure.
"Abby had two years to plan for her new studio and she didn't do it. And here she is throwing temper tantrums! Who cares?" Jill Vertes commented.
"Kids don't care," she added, "they just want to dance."
Abby sure cared about something, as she was a no-show at rehearsals, leaving assistant Gianna Martello to teach the girls their group routine.
After fighting over a parking spot (that's SoCal for you) Abby made a dramatic, and erratic return during the girls' first casting call in Los Angeles.

Abby got into an argument with Holly Frazier and arguably sabotaging her daughter Nia's audition. And we haven't even made it to the competition.
Miller did show up, but looked disheveled beyond belief, then took out her frustrations on dancer JoJo Siwa after she tried to get in on the routine.
An 11-year-old girl attempting to put on a costume she was not supposed to be wearing was apparently enough to send a grown woman into a tirade.
"You are not in this dance," Abby chastised JoJo. "That is an inappropriate thing for a child to touch. Do you want to show me your receipt for that?"
"Because it's not yours. You didn't pay for it," she said of the costume. "You didn't buy it so for you to come over here and take one is a greedy little monster!"
JoJo's mom, Jessalynn, was shocked.
Perhaps not shockingly, the ALDC did not fare that well at their first L.A. competition, taking second place behind the Murrieta Dance Studio.
Maddie did win first prize with a perfect solo, at least, so that should give Miller one less thing to scream about as we look ahead to next week.
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Erica Pinkett was savagely attacked in a nightclub ... and Pinkett says she told police the hit was ordered by a jealous rival on the show.
