Gucci Mane knows a thing or two about assault. This is a man who tattooed his own face with a picture of an ice cone.

But the rapper has now been arrested for the alleged assault of someone else, as authorities say Mane was interacting with a man at Harlem Night Ultra Lounge on March 16 when he grew irritated by the fan and clocked him in the head with a champagne bottle.

The victim - a soldier who says he just wanted a photo with the artist - was taken to an Atlanta hospital and treated for a head wound.

Paul Jolley on American Idol Elimination: This is Just the Beginning >>Hollywood

Paul Jolley got the boot from American Idol on Thursday night.

But if viewers were surprised by the result, this aspiring singer says he most definitely was not.

"I had a moment this morning when I woke up and I realized like, 'this is what is going to happen,'" Jolly told reporters not long after Ryan Seacrest made the announcement.

Jolley is taking a very positive view of the situation, however.

"I've realized that it's only a stepping stone and this is only the beginning and there's a lot more things that I want to do with my career then just American Idol," he said.

Jolley's final performance was of the Beatles' classic "Eleanor Rigby."

And even though the judges didn't love it, and viewers clearly were against it, Paul says he has no regrets.

"I wanted people to feel the emotion - someone died in this song. During the beginning of the song, everyone feels alone, no one's ever appreciated and no one should ever feel that way and everyone should know, big or small... that's why I sang it the way I sang it.

"I wanted the emotion to come across that way and I feel like I did and I'm very proud of myself."

Octomom Welfare Fraud Investigation: Is She Bilking the System? >>Hollywood

Three words: Octomom porn audit!

According to TMZ, the investigation into whether Octomom committed welfare fraud is underway, with officials looking to establish how much bank she makes.

The L.A. County Dept. of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation (WFP&I) recently got a call from someone claiming Nadya Suleman is cheating the system.

It's not clear who tipped them off or why.

Astonishingly, because she has 14 dependent children, Octomom can receive welfare support if she made less than $119,000 in a calendar year.

Almost more astonishingly, she actually may have made way more than that - around or over $200K - in 2012, which is where the fraud allegation comes in.

Investigators have begun calling people who have employed Nadya Suleman within the last year to see just how much Octo has been raking in.

Seriously. Her bank statements, canceled checks and wire transfer receipts are all being sought after, as well as contracts with any of her employers.

Airport Sign Falls, Kills Young Boy >>Hollywood

Tragic news out of Alabama yesterday, as a sign toppled over the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, injuring three civilians and taking the life of a 10-year old boy.

Luke Bresette was rushed to a local hospital following the incident, where he was soon pronounced dead.

His mother was also a victim in the accident and is in critical condition, while two older brothers were also injured.

"We're going to continue to look into the situation, but for now we have secured the site," airport spokesperson Toni Herrera-Bast told ABC News.

Six bystanders were needed to life the 300-pound flight status sign after it fell, an incident that took place not long after the airport underwent a $201 million renovation.

Said Birmingham Mayor William Bell in a statement Friday, addressing the tragedy and investigation.

Miranda Lambert Cleared of Allegedly Threatening to Punch Store Owner >>Hollywood

Earlier this week, country stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton cleared up rumors about his non-affair with Cady Groves and other tabloid allegations.

Now she's been cleared - in a bizarre case in which a local store owner complained Lambert threatened to punch her. Police will not be charging her.

Officials in Tishomingo, Okla., found no evidence that Shelton's wife ever threatened to punch the woman earlier this month, as was reported.

"Both the District Attorney and City Attorney reached the same conclusion that no crime was committed," said an investigator working the case.

Melanie Peden, 48, claimed Lambert became angry after she was invited to check out the former's new antique store, Two Doors Down Junktique.

This was March 5, just a few days before its grand opening. As it turns out, the shop is located near the crooner's own boutique, The Pink Pistol.

Per the National Enquirer, her accuser alleged Lambert launched into a tirade after learning that Peden bought the real estate out from under her.

"She just walked around the place scowling at everything and finally blurted out that I stole this," Peden said. "I was shocked when she became so angry."

Peden said that Lambert then became so incensed, she then threatened to slug her right in the mouth and take her to court. Police did not agree.

Thankfully for the Grammy Award winner, law enforcement probing the matter determined otherwise and closed their investigation. Case closed.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have teamed up with New Sunshine LLC to create their very own self-tanning line titled Kardashians Sun Kissed.

It will hit stores in April and be comprised of five items: a body exfoliator, a color maximizer, a… come on, do you really care?

"I think tanning has really been a way of life for all of us, living in California," Kim says. "Especially, more recently, the need for sunless tan. When I travel, the one thing that makes me feel alive whether or not I have makeup on is a tan, especially in my face... so we wanted a system that was really easy but yet is a full system."

The question, of course, is whether Kim will ever look good enough in a bikini again to take advantage of this product.

Ashley Greene Fire: Huge Blaze Engulfs Twilight Star's Condo, Kills Dog >>Hollywood

A fire ripped through the West Hollywood condo owned by Twilight star Ashley Greene this morning, causing major damage and killing one of her dogs.

At least 10 fire trucks swarmed to the seven-story building earlier today to extinguish the blaze. Three people were treated for minor injuries.

Residents in the building who live near Ashley Greene say that her brother and assistant had been going in and out of the condo all morning.

One resident says she heard glass exploding in Ashley's condo.

Of the 26-year-old's two fox terriers, one died at the scene under the bed. The second dog lived and was taken by Animal Control to be checked out.

Several other residents tried to fight the blaze with fire extinguishers and were covered in soot. It's still not clear what exactly started the blaze.

According to TMZ, Ashley, her boyfriend and her brother were out late last night and were sleeping when the fire broke out on the living room sofa.

They ran out of the apartment, and then realized the dogs were still there. Bravely, the two men tried to get back in to rescue them but couldn't.

The "inconsolable" Ashley wanted to keep the dog that died, so firefighters wrapped it in a sheet and gave it either to Ashley or one of the two guys.

David Viens Sentenced For Murder; Chef Denies Cooking Wife >>Hollywood

Chef David Viens was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison Friday for his wife's murder after telling the judge he was innocent in the bizarre case.

"I didn't cook my wife," Viens, 49, insisted in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The chef was convicted in September of second-degree murder in the 2009 death of Dawn Viens, despite the fact that her body was never found.

David Viens says he has no recollection of giving a bedside statement to investigators that he cooked her in boiling water for days to get rid of evidence.

A recording of the interrogation was played during the trial.

"I loved my wife," said Viens, who uses a wheelchair after suffering injuries from jumping off a cliff when he learned he was a suspect in her disappearance.

He added, "I never meant what happened to happen."

Viens gave varying accounts of how his wife died, from admitting that he accidentally killed her to claiming his wife walked away and never returned.

MMA Fighter Faked Death, Arrested for Armed Robbery >>Hollywood

Here's a story you don't read about everyday...

Mixed martial arts promoters Christo Piliafas and Scott DiPonio say they were shocked to learn today of Charles Rowan's arrest for armed robbery and assault… because they were led to believe he died in a car accident last month.

Just two weeks ago, the promoters helped raise $1,000 to pay for Rowan's funeral, only to discover that his girlfriend, Rosalinda Martinez, clearly misled them.

After all, Martinez, Rowan and a friend were booked this afternoon after holding up a gun shop in Michigan Monday.

They were charged with three felonies, including assault with intent to murder because they left the gun shop owner a bloody mess.

"It made me sick to my stomach. I was furious. I was livid," Piliafas said upon seeing Rowan's mug shot. "It's not so much about the money. It's just how many people were involved in this scam.... The little bit that I knew [about] this kid, I never would have thought that he'd try to pull some Machiavelli crap like that."

Rowan's fifth career fight was scheduled for February in Traverse City. That evening, according to DiPonio said, Martinez called from Rowan's phone number to inform him that her Rowan had been involved in a wreck on the way to the event and was dead.
