Contrary to previous reports, Miley Cyrus does not appear to be fighting with Liam Hemsworth and all it well between the couple.
But the young superstar is itching for a fight of a very different kind, mother Tish Cyrus confirms to E! News.
She has joined celebrities such as Alec Baldwin, Lea Michele, Pamela Anderson and Joan Jett in the fight to ban horse-drawn carriage rides in New York City.
"Miley grew up around animals and with all our horses growing up, so she is very passionate about protecting all animals," Tish says, explaining her family's support for a petition against the practice.
A spokesperson for New Yorkers for Clean, Livable & Safe Streets says the Cyrus family has been instrumental is helping the organization gather 100,000 signatures on a document that shows support for the ban.
"Miley's fans have been amazing" in the effort, Mama Cyrus says, adding that the clan would consider turning its 500-acre Nashville farm into a horse sanctuary for retired carriage pullers.
Miley, of course, has always been a major animal advocate. She seems to adopt a new puppy every week.
