Adam Lambert Parts Ways with Record Label >>Hollywood

Having made many headlines recently for his criticism of Les Miserables, Adam Lambert is now in the news for his own career and here's why:

The singer has parted ways with his record label.

Lambert's deal with 19 Entertainment expired this month and The Hollywood Reporter confirms "both sides" have agreed not to sign a new contract.

A rep for former American Idol runner-up says the parties leave "amicably and with the utmost respect for each other," adding that the choice for Lambert is just part of his "evolution," which started when he joined Direct Management Group.

Under Entertainment 19 since 2009, Lambert has released two studio albums, as well as collections of live tracks and remixes.

The long-awaited Britney Spears and Jason Trawick breakup reportedly happened because of kids ... though not for the specific reason you might think.

Britney, who is already mother to Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden James, 6, really wanted to have more children and Jason did not, according to reports.

Jason Trawick, 41, is "just in another place" and does not want to start a family, although he loves Sean Preston, Jayden James and Britney Spears, 31.

The former couple argued frequently about expanding their family since getting engaged in December 2011 and this ultimately proved their undoing.

Sources also say dealing with Britney Spears - the money-making empire, not the woman - also wore at Jason and "took away his individuality."

The agent maintain his identity and one of the things he tried was to expand his business by taking on more clients ... which didn't sit well with Britney.

Both Spears and Trawick say they will remain close going forward and this decision, while difficult, was mutual and agreed upon by mature adults.

Aaron Swartz, Reddit Co-Founder, Commits Suicide >>Hollywood

Aaron Swartz, a programmer and Internet activist who co-founded a company that would eventually become Reddit, committed suicide Friday in N.Y. City.

And no, tragically, it's not a hoax, unlike so many memorable recent items emerging from Reddit. His lawyer confirmed the surprising news earlier today.

He was only 26 years old.

"The tragic and heartbreaking information you received is, regrettably, true," confirmed Swartz' attorney, Elliot R. Peters of Kecker and Van Nest, via email.

MIT's student newspaper The Tech was the first to report the suicide of Swartz, who had hinted at battles with depression numerous times in the past.

Still, his death came as a surprise to those close to him best.

A programmer and progressive, he created an early version of RSS at 14 and then founded Infogami, a website that would go on to merge with Reddit.

That site is now a popular online forum and video/image-sharing behemoth with an international reach among the top 100 across the entire Internet.

Swartz was indicted in July 2011 by a federal grand jury for allegedly downloading millions of documents from JSTOR through the MIT network.

Using a laptop hidden in a basement network closet in MIT's Building 16, he was accused of obtaining the docs with intent to distribute them.

He appeared in court on September 24, 2012 and pleaded not guilty.

Jurassic Park 4 Release Date: Announced! >>Hollywood

Dinosaurs will attack again in about 18 months.

Universal Pictures has announced a June 13, 2014 release date for Jurassic Park 4, which will be shot in 3D.

Steven Spielberg will produce the blockbuster, which is the fourth install ment in a franchise based on Michael Crichton's novel.

Few other details are available at this time, but expect some serious special effects to be involved.

Deen, whose day job is working in porn, believes the 26-year-old starlet took his explanation as a shot at her craft, which was definitely not his intention.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa Bryant are officially back together, happy, reconciled and dismissing their divorce papers.

They confirmed the un-split on Instagram!

Friday, Vanessa's page read: "We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future."

Kobe Bryant posted a message on Facebook:

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have broken up, the singer confirms.

The split follows weeks, if not months of rumors that the relationship was on shaky ground, and the same day as she confirmed quitting The X Factor.

"Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement," her rep, Jeff Raymond, told People this evening.

"As two mature adults, [Britney and Jason] came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends," Raymond added.

Spears and Trawick confirmed their breakup in a statement as well.

"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," the 31-year-old says in the statement. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."

Britney Spears Confirms X Factor Exit >>Hollywood

After weeks of speculation, Britney Spears has confirmed what we already knew - that she's quitting The X Factor after her first and only season last fall.

"I've made the very difficult decision not to return for another season," Brit tells ET Online in a statement, adding that Fox was informed of her decision.

"I had such an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio."

"Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most."

Spears is reportedly hard at work on her eighth studio album, with her manager, Adam Leber, Tweeting, "It's a little premature to give details on album 8."

Phil Gingrey, Georgia Congressman, Explains Concept of "Legitimate Rape" >>Hollywood

Phil Gingrey, a Republican Congressman from Georgia, has brought back up the topic of "legitimate rape."

The term was broached by Todd Akin - a losing candidate for Congress in Missouri who drew MAJOR fire last year for saying a woman's body "shuts down" in the face of this type of act - and Gingrey tried to defend the point yesterday at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

"What he meant by legitimate rape was just look, someone can say I was raped: a scared-to-death 15-year-old that becomes impregnated by her boyfriend and then has to tell her parents, that's pretty tough and might on some occasion say, 'Hey, I was raped.'

Continued Gingrey, who has served as an OB-GYN.

"That's what he meant when he said legitimate rape versus nonlegitimate rape. I don't find anything so horrible about that. But then he went on and said that in a situation of rape, of a legitimate rape, a woman's body has a way of shutting down so the pregnancy would not occur. He's partly right on that."

He is?

"I've delivered lots of babies, and I know about these things. It is true. We tell infertile couples all the time that are having trouble conceiving because of the woman not ovulating, 'Just relax. Drink a glass of wine. And don't be so tense and uptight, because all that adrenaline can cause you not to ovulate.'

"So he was partially right, wasn't he?"

Well, no, for the reason that Gingrey himself then outlines: a woman doesn't know when she is going to be raped.

"But the fact that a woman may have already ovulated 12 hours before she is raped, you're not going to prevent a pregnancy there by a woman's body shutting anything down, because the horse has already left the barn, so to speak. And yet the media took that and tore it apart."

As you might expect, Gingrey was then forced to backtrack from what appeared to be a semi-defense of Akin's position, releasing the following statement today:

Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult broke up, according to Us Weekly.

The couple mutually ended their two-year relationship very recently.

The Hunger Games actress, 22, and Skins actor, 23, met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010; they played one another's love interests in the film.

Lawrence, who was recently named Most Desirable Woman of 2012, hasn't given any indication the relationship was heading south in recent interviews.

Allyn Rose, Miss America Hopeful, Speaks on Planned Double Mastectomy >>Hollywood

Allyn Rose will participate tomorrow night in the Miss America pageant.

Win or lose, however, the Miss DC has a far more important agenda to take care of following the event: she is scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy.

The 24-year old is doing so as a preventive measure to reduce her odds of developing the disease that took her mother, grandmother and great aunt.

"My mom would have given up every part of her body to be here for me, to watch me in the pageant," Rose said Wednesday. "If there's something that I can do to be proactive, it might hurt my body, it might hurt my physical beauty, but I'm going to be alive."

The University of Maryland student plans to show off her roller skating talents during the annual event and then heed the advice of her father, who broached this idea two years after his wife passed.

Rose's mother was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 27 and Allyn - who does NOT carry the "breast cancer genes" BRCA1 and BRCA2 - says she doesn't want to wait to find out if she'll follow tragic suit.

If she wins tomorrow, she hopes to serve as a role model.

"I've been thinking how powerful that might be to have a Miss America say, 'I might be Miss America but I'm still going to have surgery.

Britney Spears to Dump Jason Trawick ... as Conservator? >>Hollywood

Britney Spears thinks having her fiance, Jason Trawick, as her co-conservator is a total buzzkill for their relationship and wants him gone ASAP, reports say.

In that role, he is in charge of her finances and other decisions; the singer has been under the legal conservatorship since melting down in early 2008.

"Britney wants Jason removed. He was appointed to the position when she joined The X Factor so that he could be with her at all times while on set," a source says.

"The relationship has been more than slightly rocky in the past few months and Brit attributes that to having her man essentially being one of her babysitters."

"It has killed the romance in the relationship, and she wants to get it back."

Britney split rumors have run rampant in recent months, and this is a big reason why. The legal and business aspect of their relationship has taken over.

"Jason is co-conservator of Spears as a person, meaning he controls who she sees, where she goes, etc. Her father has had that role since day one."

"She thinks it should be [Jamie Spears] and only him, and not Jason anymore. Jason is in full agreement and supports her decision," the insider added.

Is a breakup imminent? That's unclear, but things have been rocky.

"Britney and Jason had planned to get married at the end of December, but they have been fighting non-stop, so the wedding has now been called off."

Things have become so strained between the couple that they were forced to cancel their planned wedding as they struggle to work through their issues.

"They are telling their friends it's being postponed, but they will probably never make it down the aisle. Britney doesn't think Jason is any fun."

She resents that he acts more like a "second father" than a romantic partner, or equal.

For his part, "Jason feels like he is Britney's babysitter, and it's pretty much just a business arrangement at this point. Jason does love Britney and the boys."

"He just can't see himself spending the rest of his life with her."

Meanwhile, as they work out if they have any chance of a future together, one thing they are both agreed on is Jason Trawick quitting the conservator role.

"Jason has been talking it over with Jamie and Lynne Spears, and he just wants to get his and Britney's relationship back on track."

"He doesn't want to be her babysitter, he just wants to be her fiance."
