Miley Cyrus' engagement to Liam Hemsworth may be nearing an end. The actor reportedly plans to make a "clean break" from the racy singer soon.

Liam Hemsworth-Miley Cyrus Breakup Imminent?

According to a source close to Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus Twerking up a storm at the VMAs was the last straw, straining an already tenuous relationship.

Liam, sources say, is now "just weeks away from calling it off permanently."

"He is over her and wants to make a clean break. No more back and forth."

It's unclear when exactly Hemsworth will dump her or why he hasn't done so already if he's so over her, but he is said to have found Cyrus' VMA antics "mortifying."

The couple has reportedly been "on and off" in recent months.

When they reunited on the red carpet on Thursday, August 8, the pair "acted as if they were strangers," a source said at the time, and it's no better at home.

At present, the pair still reside together at Miles' home in L.A.'s Toluca Lake, but the pair are "more like roommates than lovers," another source notes.

"They're not even sleeping in the same room," the source said.

Last week, Lamar Odom's crack addiction became insatiable.

Incessantly, he would call, demanding more and more crack.

Apparently even his longtime, go-to dealer got scared enough to cut Lamar off ... partly for his own good but mostly to cover his own behind as well.

After all, if Odom dies, he'd no longer be off the grid.

Authorities would investigate and come down on him like wife Khloe Kardashian is trying to come down on her husband, only he'd actually go to prison.

Lamar, of course, has not necessarily stopped using.

He just had to find a new source, which isn't hard if you're invested in the whole scene like he apparently is. Guy has his connections all over it seems.

In fact, after leaving rehab after one day, rumors surfaced that he wasn't ready to get clean or admit he had an issue, and is already back on drugs.

He's refused multiple interventions from Khloe Kardashian's family, his former NBA teammates and his friends from NYC, but no one can get through.

There are reports that Odom is receiving out-patient treatment for addiction, and though this has not been confirmed, we really hope it's the case.

The singer and NBA player welcomed their first child together, Laiyah Shannon, on Tuesday, September 3 in Atlanta, her rep confirmed late Friday.

It wasn't easy, but after 12 hours of labor and a failed epidural (anesthesiologists administered a second dose), Monica, 32, delivered the couple's daughter.

She weighed in at 6 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 19 inches long.

Ever the supportive boyfriend, a well-placed source says Kanye "would clear his schedule immediately" to see Kim Kardashian nude in that setting.

Perhaps Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 are becoming obsolete? The birth rate among teenagers hit a record low in 2012, government research shows.

Teen Birth Rate Keeps Falling

There is evidence that a trend of more effective means of birth control is a factor, according to the National Center for Health Statistics at the CDC.

Watching Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans can't hurt, either.

The birth rate among young women ages 15 to 19 fell 6 percent last year, to 29.4 births per thousand, the lowest rate in the 73 years of data collection.

The decline was across all racial and ethnic groups.

The 2012 number was a significant drop and follows fairly sizable declines since 2007, when the rate was 41.5 births per thousand young women ages 15 to 19.

In fact, except for a small uptick between 2005 and 2007, the teen birth rate has been steadily declining since 1991, when it reached 61.8 births per thousand.

The data used comes from the birth certificate that parents must complete at the hospital and it provides a wealth of information regarding demographics.

But to figure out why exactly the teen birth rate is falling, researchers have to rely on extensive surveys, and the results are much harder to pin down.

There is not much evidence of a change in abortion use and not much change in sexual activity, according to analysts, meaning birth control may be up.

Or better, or better used.

While condom use increased substantially in the 1990s and early 2000s among high schoolers, it actually declined slightly after that, according to the CDC.

At the same time, medical professionals have increasingly been recommending the IUD, a small, plastic device that is inserted and left inside the uterus.

While it does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases, the IUD can be used in combination with a condom, which does offer such protection.

Aaron Hernandez Pleads Not Guilty to Murder, NFL Star "Confident He Will Be Exonerated" >>Hollywood

As expected, former NFL star Aaron Hernandez pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and more in a Massachusetts court on Friday.

Six times, a charge was read and six times, his plea was "Not guilty."

Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the murder of his friend, 27-year-old semipro football player Odin Lloyd, and five accompanying weapons charges.

Today was his arraignment. His next hearing is October 9.

Hernandez will seek bail on that date. Until then, he'll remain held in a Bristol County correctional facility, where he has been since his arrest on June 26.

A Bristol County District Court judge has ordered the athlete held without bail, citing the seriousness of the charges and the convincing evidence.

Hernandez's attorneys will attack the circumstantial evidence next month, but bail is unlikely with other investigations - with possible links to him - pending.

Just the same, his lawyers said he will be "exonerated" and asked the public not to jump to conclusions based on "one-sided and untested" evidence.

"In a sense, this is like the opening kickoff," Hernandez lawyer Charles Rankin said after the arraignment, "and we have a long way to go before trial."

"We encourage everyone to keep an open mind. We feel confident when evidence is presented in a court of law, Aaron Hernandez will be exonerated."

Last month, prosecutors divulged that police are probing Hernandez's possible ties to a double homicide in Boston in 2012 in which two men were killed.

Then, in February 2013, a shooting in Florida took place and one of Hernandez's friends said he shot him in the face and blinded him in one eye.

That friend, Alexander Bradley, has filed a lawsuit that says the ex-New England Patriot shot him as they argued in a car, then dumped him in an alley to die.
