Bobbi Kristina Brown's jailed, heroin-dealing friend Paige Thompson is speaking out about her plight, and in defense of her embattled boyfriend Nick Gordon.
As Gordon rants on Twitter and continues to fight for the right to see Bobbi Kristina in the hospital, he's getting support from the most unlikely place.
Thompson, one of couple's close friends, tells Radar from prison (somehow) that the ailing Brown's maligned partner "had nothing to do with this!"
"You'll never convince me that Nick had anything to do with hurting her," Paige said, and at least in the literal sense, there is no evidence to suggest it.
Thompson, who spent a lot of time with the young couple, says Nick's public heartbreak and concern over Bobbi Kristina's critical condition is genuine.
"People fight and argue and sometimes it gets physical, but as far as hurting her in a way… and killing her… no way! He would have nothing to gain really."
"I don't believe Nick had anything to do with this."
Now incarcerated, in Texas, Thompson was in Bobbi Kristina and Gordon's drug circle and was arrested in 2014 for heroin possession with intent to sell.
In recent days, Gordon has vented his frustration and pain via Twitter, saying Bobby Brown is a joke and claiming he alone can revive Bobbi with his voice.
"Let me in the hospital to see my girl and let her hear my voice SHE WILL WAKE UP!!! @REALbkBrown @YFKennedy," Gordon wrote in one missive.
"If she hears MY voice let me massage her, play her favorite music I believe it will help," he urges. "If you ask Bobby anything abt he cannot answer."
Bobby Brown has accused Nick of not cooperating with the police investigation into how Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her bathtub January 31.
Gordon denies this. "I've talked to the cops no lawyer," Nick tweeted. "If Roswell Detectives know how to do there [sic] job everything is cool. #dontfabricate."
Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon were married, but reportedly estranged at the time of her tragic hospitalization. We hope she is able to beat the odds and recover.
We may never know what happened that fateful day, other than that Bobbi Kristina was in a bad place and there's no love lost between her dad and lover.
"My only regret is not getting to @REALbkBrown faster to give CPR," Gordon posted. "CPR for 10-15 min responding officer didn't take over until EMS came."
"It's like re living my worst nightmare!!!! Listen at the end of all this I took care of Whitney Houston and Kriss which was very hard on someone my age."
Thompson agrees, saying her friend is being scapegoated.
"People aren't giving him [Nick Gordon] enough credit. If it was not for him, it would have been a lot worse. I know that sounds crazy; it's already worse!"
"She [Krissi] was very dependent on Nick. But I don't ever remember seeing or feeling any animosity between them. People argue, that's going to happen."
"She missed her mom. I can't even explain how much she loved her mom. She was very, very devastated after the loss. Her and Nick both, he was devastated also."
"They called her 'mom' ... they loved her. I wouldn't say it consumed her life. But you could tell it was hard part of her life. I think they both were lost."
"They were close with her mom and not so much to the dad. [Bobby] was like a kid from what I understand," Thompson said. "I know he loved her mom."
"I know he wouldn't get remarried until after she died," she said of the elder Brown. "That's what she [Krissi] told me. It's a horrible thing that this has happened."
"I can see things so differently now than I did at the time and everything is really sad to me. I wish I could go back to change so many things," said Thompson.
Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney Houston together, before the former passed away in 2012. We wish their family members the best in this difficult, tragic time.
Whitney Houston used to be a major star. She may have had the best voice on the planet. These days? She's a sad, seemingly unhealthy version of herself.
Let there be no doubt: this is the best rendition of The Star Spangled Banner in the history of professional sports. Take in Whitney Houston's masterpiece now.
The night before she passed away, Whitney Houston went out with friends in Los Angeles. This, therefore, will forever be known as her final singing performance.
