Not being able to attend the MTV Movie Awards didn't stop Ansel Elgort from supporting The Fault in Our Stars via social media.
The actor, 21, took to Twitter and Instagram to celebrate the movie's various wins last night, including Best Picture and Best Kiss.
The never shy Elgort posted selfies and videos showing his excitement.
Elgort was unable to attend the award show because he's in Rhode Island shooting his new film November Criminals.
However, he still Tweeted, "Watching the MTV Movie Awards from Providence because I'm filming tomorrow at 6 am. Wish I could be there :( Rooting for u Shai!!"
Shailene Woodley, his costar, took home the award for Best Female Performance.
When Woodley accepted the award for Best Kiss on behalf of Elgort and herself, Elgort managed to snap a selfie in front of the TV.
Elgort also looked ecstatic when John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars, accepted the popcorn award Best Movie.
In addition to the selfies, Elgort posted a video on Instagram of the moment his film won. The video shows how thrilled he was for their big win:
Elgort also took the time to comment on the award show as a whole, Tweeting: "And the winner of the MTV movie awards this year is... Vagina jokes!"
There was a running theme of vagina jokes as comedian, Amy Schumer hosted this year's MTV Movie Awards.
Elgort signed off by saying, "Goodnight, I wish I could have been there but I'm on set doing what I love. Feeling so touched and lucky."
