There might be no crying is baseball, but that isn't true for dance, especially this week on Dancing With the Stars.
Earlier this week, Suzanne Somers had a meltdown and considered leaving the show.
Last night, Chris Soules, 33, lost it while rehearsing his routine with Witney Carson and made her cry.
"It's all new to me. I can't do it all at once," he says.
Carson, 21, responds, "Yeah, but it's not all new to you."
Soules snips back, "Don't argue with me. I'm telling you what it is and I can't do any better. It's not new to you. Clearly, you are a professional. I can't do it your way. So stop it."
Cue the waterworks.
Caron is later caught on camera crying. She says, "For him to, like, to snap at me today made me feel like not a good coach."
Soules isn't trying to be a complete jerk though. As an inexperienced dancer, his frustration gets the best of him. His intention wasn't to make her cry.
"It was tough to watch. It was tough to go through," he says about seeing Witney cry.
"We are working really hard and both doing the best we can. But it's not like working with Alfonso. I'm not a dancer. She can get frustrated with me," he explains.
Yes, Chris. You are not Alfonso. But at least he made a surprise appearance to remind you he is a better dancer.
After Soules and Carson patched things up with a hug, Carson's partner from last season, Alfonso Riberio, made a visit.
Although DWTS seems fun and lighthearted, it is a difficult endeavor.
"It was a tough week. People don't really understand how hard we work. We have a close relationship. But we were just both getting on each other's nerves. I wasn't getting it down, and she was getting frustrated with me."
He adds, "That happens in any partnerships in life. I don't know any partnership where two people don't have a little bit of a disagreement. It only made us stronger."
Unfortunately, even though Soules and Carson worked out their personal kinks, Sunday's rehearsal only got worse.
Soules tore his left calf muscle. And he re-injured it during Monday's dress rehearsal.
He was able to finish the number, but not without pain.
He says, "I was just thankful I was able to complete the dance. I didn't think I would be able to do 20 to 30 percent of the routine, but I was able to do every step. In the back of my mind, I felt like someone was stabbing my leg. But I tried to go for it."
Hopefully, he feels better about this performance than some of his past dances that nearly got him booted off the show.
