After a period of emotional struggles that culminated in a 2013 suicide attempt, Paris Jackson seems to have emerged on the other side as a stable, healthy young woman.
These days, Paris' social media tributes to her famous father are focused more on his celebrated life than his tragic, premature death, and yesterday she decided to honor his memory in permanent fashion:
Paris posted the above photo of herself in a Los Angeles tattoo shop, along with a caption reading, "'Queen of My Heart'" in his handwriting. To everyone else he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart."
Apparently, the ink was based on a handwriting sample from a note Michael wrote to Paris when she was just 6 years old.
Needless to say, it's a touching tribute to a man who, for his many eccentricities and tumultuous personal life, was by all accounts an incredibly devoted father.
Following her recent breakup with Chetser Castellaw, there were concerns that Paris would sink into a depression.
These days, however, she's in a new relationship, she openly discusses her ongoing efforts to stay sober, and she 18th birthday at Disney Land last week.
The future looks bright for Paris Jackson, and now she'll have a reminder of her father's love with her at all times.
