Just two weeks after The Bachelorette ended, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are already on the rocks and on the verge of a split, a new report indicates.
In fairness, the evidence of this is questionable at best.
Witnesses who saw them out and about over the weekend reported the discord, the lack of conversation, and the fact that they "don't look content."
Another source says that they were "knee deep in a serious conversation" and that there "appeared to be problems" between them already.
So, take it with a grain of salt. Or a boulder.
Still, some people won't be surprised by such reports, and will theorize that it's the beginning of the end for Desiree Hartsock and her second choice.
Considering how head over heels she was on the show - for Brooks Forester, who dumped her - public faith in her romance with Chris has been marginal.
Yes, she undoubtedly loves and cares for Chris ... but is it enough?
The happy front Chris and Des are putting on right now may be for real, or it may be just that - a front, designed to convince people it's going to work out.
Maybe even to convince themselves? It's not clear, but even Chris Harrison has expressed doubts about the future prospects of these two lovebirds.
