Paulina Gretzky is engaged to Dustin Johnson.
Maybe you've already heard, and mourned.
The 24-year-old daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky broke the news this weekend and flashed a seriously impressive engagement ring on Instagram.
Her Instagram, of course, is legendary in and of itself.

Paulina Gretzky's dad is nicknamed "The Great One" because he is the best hockey player ever, if not the greatest athlete in any sport in human history.
Seriously, he was that good ... and he did equally well passing on his genes with model-actress Janet Jones. Says Paulina of growing up in his shadow:
"My dad's accomplishments are completely different than everything I've done with my life and the path I want to take ... what he's done has only been inspirational."
She's athletic, too. The plethora of bikini pictures on Instagram are enough to show that Paulina works out. She played hockey in her youth, as well ...
Paulina, who also dabbles in music, describes her taste as "very pop mainstream." Not likely to help her stand out much these days, but oh well.
She's had bit acting roles as well, such as in the 2009 reboot of Fame and 2011's Girls, Guns and Gambling, and most recently as a hot co-ed in Grown Ups 2.
Typecasting lives.
Paulina fell for Dustin Johnson in part because she was properly pursued. She tells Complex, "If a guy texts me instead of calling me, it's done for me."
"It's absolutely not gonna happen. I just can't do texts. If you wanna ask me out, you're gonna have to call me and ask me like a gentleman. Be a man about it."
"There are so many things in this day and age that men don't do anymore. That's one thing my mother always taught me: You don't chase men."
"They're supposed to fight for you. They're supposed to show you respect."
All that's left to say, hearing that, is well done Dustin Johnson. Well done.
