Katy Perry recently debuted her new nose piercing ... in a video of herself getting it done, which you can see here, and which is not for the faint of heart!
Perry is known for her bold fashion and beauty statements, but we still can't believe she went there with this one, or that she blasted it on Instagram.
Okay, we do believe the second part. Instagram is basically made for videos like this (and Kendall Jenner topless pics). Sharing it is par for the course.
Katy captioned the video: "Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro's."
Making up for that improper apostrophe, she added, "Sorry mom (again)."
The best part? Katy initially doesn't react to the needle going through, which makes you think she has an insane pain threshold or this is somehow fake.
Then she lets out a scream we weren't expecting. Good stuff right there.

The troubled Sons of Anarchy actor and Katy Perry got together in 2005 and broke up in 2006, before her singing career took off. Lewis died in 2012 in a fall from a roof, and reportedly inspired Katy's hit "The One That Got Away."
