Rumors that Bruce Jenner wants a sex change have been circulating for months.
We don't know if they're true or not, but we do know that reports of Bruce experimenting with his gender identity began around the same time that talk of a Bruce-Kris Jenner divorce hit the tabloids.
Naturally, most people assumed that Kris didn't like the idea of being married to a woman and decided to leave Bruce.
Now it seems that Bruce's plans to have a sex change has played a part in the Jenner's marital difficulties, but possibly not for the reasons that we thought:
For starters, sources say Kris has a big problem with Bruce transitioning into identifying as a woman, but it has nothing to do with their sex life.
As is usually the case with Kris, her foremost concern is the bottom line and her family's reputation.
Kris has denied the sex change rumors in the past, whereas Bruce has mainly kept quiet on the subject and doesn't seem to be all that bothered by the rumors, whether they're true or not.
He is, however, bothered by Kris constantly belittling him about his "feminine" behavior.
"Bruce was seen by Kris as he was all covered up with foil (getting his hair done)," says one source. "Kris immediately walked away hinting that it was very awkward to see her ex-husband doing beauty treatments in their home."
Another insider adds that Kris told her daughters that Bruce wears Spanx and the girls have been making fun of him for it ever since.
So could it be that Bruce is actually the one planning to leave the marriage? If so, standing up to Kris Jenner might make Bruce a bigger American hero than winning a gold medal.
