Let there be... darkness?
On Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 2, viewers watched as the young girls who were trapped for weeks inside Charles' frightening compound realized that they hadn't escaped last week after all.
Not mentally, at least. Many scars remain.
For HANNA, that meant being haunted by the fact that Charles designed the prison rooms to resemble the girls' actual bedrooms.
Hanna couldn't help but give in to this fear, flashing back in the most horrible of ways and needing the comfort of her mother's arms.
We saw EMILY choose the physical route to recovery, taking hold of her dad gun and going right to the firing range.
And, after seeing her flashback of Charles saying to "Choose one, or all will suffer," can you blame her?
Pam tried to speak some sense into her child, but only Sara who able to get through to her.
"Are you sure it's him?" she asked about Andrew after seeing him on television and not recognizing him as the culprit. Hmmm... might Andrew actually be innocent?
For SPENCER, Addiction once again reared its ugly head, as her parents refused to give her the drugs prescribed to her at the hospital.
Unfortunately, all four of the gals received prescriptions and Spencer looked especially tempted during a brief visit to Aria's house. But at least she got a big kiss from Toby.
ARIA met with investigator, telling her she saw Andrew's face at the compound, a fib Ella saw through immediately.
"Aria, you're very smart, but please remember, you're also very wise," she told her daughter... whatever that means.
The most unexpected response to the events of the past few weeks came from ALISON. No, not her cozying up to Toby's new partner Lorenzo. But her decision to go back to church, one of the only places that makes her feel safe.
