An unexpected twist has thrown a wrench into things, but now that the dust has settled, we now know the real results of Season 11 ...
It goes without saying, but obvious BACHELORETTE SPOILERS appear below. So turn back now if you don't want the ending ruined.
To recap: With a few weeks left in the season, Kaitlyn Bristowe's final two showdown between Nick Viall and Shawn Booth is looming.
If you have the Internet, you likely know about the Snapchat debacle in which Kaitlyn revealed The Bachelorette winner, supposedly.
This alleged social media snafu contradicted earlier spoilers indicating that Bristowe spurned both men and left the hit show single.
So what actually happened? Was Kaitlyn actually with the winner on a sexy night in June, or is this all clever Internet misdirection?
Yes, she was, and no, it wasn't.
Kaitlyn was on Snapchat, where she posted a video of herself with her man. There were no photos. The pics online are screen shots.
The Snapchat video wasn't up long before she deleted it, but it was up long enough. And you cannot upload old videos to Snapchat.
Kaitlyn has her shorter, blacker hair, so the clip was not from the Fantasy Suite as some theorized (also, see previous paragraph).
Bottom line: Kaitlyn Bristowe was in bed with Shawn Booth. Not a guy who could pass for Shawn Booth and sure as hell not Nick Viall.
And it happened recently.
Reality Steve has it on good authority that this is not a publicity stunt or coordinated effort to thwart his spoilers and f--k with us.
As for speculation that the original spoilers were correct, and that Kaitlyn and Shawn somehow got together after the final episode?
Not the case. Again, Steve has backtracked on his first final rose ceremony report. Kaitlyn and Shawn got engaged. And still are.
Nick Viall does make it to the final two and does get rejected, again, only this time he actually gets to propose first. Gotta be rough.
Anyway, we'll see it all play out in a few weeks on a heart-pounding season finale, but it looks like that's all she wrote. Discuss!
