The upcoming Star Wars Episode 7 will to a lot more than satisfy legions of fans: Most of the $4 billion that George Lucas will get from selling Lucasfilm to Disney will go to charity.
"George Lucas has expressed his intention, in the event the deal closes, to donate the majority of the proceeds to his philanthropic endeavors," a rep for the filmmaker said.
The 68-year-old heads the George Lucas Educational Foundation, "a foundation which primarily focuses on educational issues." He donated $175 million to his alma mater, USC.
