Chris Christie leads a new survey of "hottest politicians" in the U.S., but not "hottest" as in how Juan Pablo Galavis was the "hottest" Bachelorette contestant.
The New Jersey Governor and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton scored best on Quinnipiac's "Thermometer of Voter Attitudes" in a recent poll.
Christie, at 53.1 degrees on the "Thermometer," Clinton, 52.1 degrees and Sen. Warren (D-MA), at 49.2 degrees, are all "hotter" than President Obama.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) matches the president, at 47.6 degrees, although 75 percent of voters said they didn't know enough about her to rate her.
For Republican Christie, who is expected to win reelection easily this year in a highly Democratic state, it's yet another sign that his star is on the rise.
However, he only scores eighth hottest among GOP voters.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), the GOP's 2012 vice presidential candidate, "generates the most heat," according to the survey, among Republican voters, with 68.7.
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) also beat Christie among Republican voters, while lagging behind him among Americans overall.
As for Hillary Clinton, many feel she's the woman to beat in the 2016 election, should she decide to make a second run at the White House then.
Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said:
"Hillary Clinton's score is not surprising, given her lengthy political career, and [she's] especially strong support among Democrats and women."
"But Gov. Chris Christie's rating is impressive as his experience - less than four years as governor - pales when compared to Mrs. Clinton's resume."
"What is interesting is that only two of the 22 figures rate better than the middle of the scale, not exactly a ringing endorsement of the political establishment."
That, arguably, is the biggest (and most obvious) takeaway of all.
