Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi married in 2008 and have appeared to be the perfect Hollywood couple ever since.
Now it seems as though their sunny public appearances may have been masking some serious serious marital troubles:
In Touch reports that Portia checked into a Malibu treatment facility in May to try and kick her drug and alcohol addictions.
Her decision to seek help was reportedly the result of a realization that her bad habits were destroying her marriage.
"They got into an ugly fight," a source tells the tabloid. "Portia hadn't been happy for a while and was drinking and isolating [herself] and Ellen confronted her. Portia lost it and blamed Ellen for driving her to drink."
The magazine claims that Portia sought treatment just days after that blow-out fight.
DeGeneres reportedly visited de Rossi "every weekend," and Portia has now completed treatment, but all is still not well for the mega-rich talk show queen and the Arrested Development star:
"Ellen is domineering and Portia is passive," says the insider. "They're on their way to repairing their marriage, but it won't be easy. Portia will always be battling these demons."
DeGeneres has defended her marriage against tabloid rumors in the past, but has yet to respond to this latest rumor.
