The New York Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. made arguably the greatest catch in football history last night against Dallas in a play you have to see to believe.
If you've seen it before, check it out again and you'll still be in disbelief:
The 22-year-old wide receiver out of LSU was already enjoying a terrific rookie season before this acrobatic effort cemented his place in football history.
If this isn't the greatest catch of all time, it's at least in the conversation.
Beckham leaped high and behind himself, while running full tilt, to haul in a touchdown pass from Eli Manning with defensive back Brandon Carr all over him.
With only one hand - just three fingers, even - Beckham caught the ball as he hit to the ground, then jumped to his feet in celebration before a stunned crowd.
Carr was whistled for defensive pass interference, which made this instant classic play even more dubious, impressive and worthy of about two dozen replays.
If there's one thing that can break the Internet, it's Kim Kardashian nude in Paper. But if there's a sports equivalent that can shut down Twitter, this was it.
Everyone from casual fans to LeBron James took to the social network in shock, awe and amazement, labeling Beckham's catch the greatest of all time.
The only two questions we're left with after watching it 20 times:
- Can the Giants' defense, which squandered an 11-point halftime lead as New York lost 31-28 and fell to a sorry 3-8, give this guy any support?
- What does he do for an encore after this?
