With apologies to New Girl, there was one question at the center of The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 7:
WHO'S THAT GIRL?
We refer to Zoe, of course, who fans have been presuming since her introduction is Red's daughter. But the NBC hit pulled tricky rabbit out of its hat this week and revealed Zoe's true identity...
... She's Berlin's daughter!
Yes, the same daughter Berlin believes Red to have killed. So. Wait. What. Huh?!? What kind of game is Red playing here?
Elsewhere during the hour, we watched as a captive Tom played mind games with Liz.
But a storyline that should be interesting and exciting is instead bogged down by repetition. Liz continues to debate whether or not to kill her shady husband. Each and every week.
The Blacklist-er of The Week, meanwhile, was a villain named The Scimitar. This person was looking to collect nuclear information.
With the details unimportant (and not especially engaging), The Scimitar was stopped from reaching his target. However, prior to escaping, he was captured by Red… who delivered him to Navabi.
She had no problem killing The Scimitar, but this simply gave viewers another reason wonder about Red's big plans.
But isn't that often the case with The Blacklist?
