We have a few updates on the tragic death of Stephanie Moseley.
As reported last night, the dancer/actress (best known for her role on VH1's "Hit the Floor") was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment of a gunshot wound.
She is believed to have been killed by her husband, rapper Earl Hayes, who then turned the weapon on himself.
According to TMZ, Hayes was actually conducting a FaceTime discussion with boxer Floyd Mayweather immediately before this murder-suicide.
He told Mayweather that he was going to kill Moseley because she had been unfaithful.
An insider says Mayweather pleaded with his friend not to go through with it, but Hayes went ahead with the heinous crime while the boxer was still on the phone. He reportedly saw and heard nearly everything.
Hayes and Moseley, meanwhile, got married in 2008 but then separated two years later due to the latter having an affair with Trey Songz.
They eventually got back together, though Hayes was "crushed and never got over it," a friend tells TMZ, adding that Hayes would often bring Songz up to Stephanie, reminding his wife of her infidelity.
Hayes also accused Moseley of sleeping with other singers.
Moseley served as a backup dancer for a number of performers, including Usher, Britney Spears and Chris Brown.
Following her death, Songz wrote the following message on Instagram:
"R.I.P babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You'll b missed but never forgotten. Love."
Brown and Ashley Tisdale (who appeared on The CW's Hellcats opposite Moseley) also wrote messages of mourning online, while VH1 has issued a statement that reads:
We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley. VH1 and the entire 'Hit The Floor' family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.
Paul Walker died in a car accident on November 30, 2013. He left behind a daughter and a burgeoning film career.
