U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner has the distinct honor, as he said last night, of welcoming the President to Congress for his State of the Union address.
He also has the honor of sitting right behind Barack Obama, and thus, cameras trained on him for the entirety of Obama's extended address to the nation.
Which, in turn, gives us plenty of reactions like this gem:
The Speaker of the House of Representatives and the U.S. Vice President, in this case Joe Biden, occupy the chairs behind Obama at this annual event.
Boehner, the Ohio Congressman who leads the Republican majority and often serves as Obama's foil, is never as excited about the speech as Biden.
In the 65-year-old's defense, the address is an hour long, and anyone in the audience is likely doing the same things, if not worse, from time to time.
But Boehner is just so much fun to watch, especially when Obama celebrates the successes of his first six years in office that the GOP isn't as thrilled about.
As the President trumpeted the advances of marriage equality across the nation, Biden stood and cheered, while Boehner remained seated, unamused.
"I watched Americans beat back adversity from the Gulf Coast to the Great Plains; from Midwest assembly lines to the Mid-Atlantic seaboard," Obama said.
"I've seen something like gay marriage go from a wedge issue ... to a story of freedom, a civil right now legal in states that seven in ten Americans call home."
