The 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards featured plenty of water cooler moments, but perhaps none more than the new and improved Zach Galifianakis.
The 45-year-old Hangover and Birdman star showed off a much slimmer appearance and a clean-shaven face when he arrived at the Shrine Auditorium.
He also took a coiffure cue from Jared Leto, apparently.
It's a good thing he introduced himself to the crowd, because you'd be forgiven if you didn't even recognize that skinny guy with his hair pulled into a man bun.
Galifianakis previously showed off his weight loss back in October while making the promotional rounds for Birdman, and he's clearly continued the trend.
What made him decide to shed the pounds?
"I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off…" Zach told Conan O'Brien. "I was having a lot of vodka with sausage. Delicious but bad for you."
There wasn't a single event that triggered this transformation, but he says, "I was getting into too much trouble with the drinking, so I just kind of stopped."
Clearly it's working for him, to say the least.
