Giuliana Rancic has more important things to worry about right now than the state of E!'s Fashion Police.
The future of that series is uncertain at the moment, due to the departures of Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne, but Rancic spoke to People Magazine this week about something more personal than her career:
Her health.
"I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can't," admits the TV host.
Rancic has come under Internet (troll) fire after her last couple red carpet appearances, with many wondering whether her cancer has returned and many labeling her as "disgustingly skinny" due to her weight loss.
"I eat more than any of my friends," Giuliana says. "I eat a very robust, healthy, balanced diet and dessert almost every night. I'm not hiding from anything."
But the star's oncologist, Dr. Dev Paul, recently explained to Rancic that the drug she is taking to combat the breast cancer with which she was diagnosed in 2011 can alter metabolism.
She is simply unable to pack on pounds.
"It's really hurtful," Rancic says of the criticism. "But there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine."
Shenae Grimes of 90210 fame was often believed to be unhealthily thin, though she denied having an eating disorder and was critical of those who chastised her.
