Earlier this week, we reported on the news that Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas have teamed up to form a new record label.
But there's a third person involved in this endeavor. He's a music executive named Phil McIntyre and Lovato has quite a personal history with the producer.
"This man not only believed in me when I was 15 and made my entire career happen, but he fought so f-cking hard to get me sober," Lovato wrote in a moving Instagram message on Wednesday.
"When so many others had given up on me, he never did. He told me he cared too much about me to watch me self-destruct."
Lovato, of course, spent many weeks in a rehab facility toward the end of 2010.
She has been very open since about her eating disorder, her self-confidence issues and her hard drug use, hoping to use her past experiences to help others in similar situations.
Crediting McIntyre for caring about her well-being over the money he could make off her, Demi added:
"He is one of the very few people who LITERALLY saved. my. life. I don't think I'd be alive without him for many different reasons…
"Phil is one of the most HUMBLE and hard working people I know. I can't wait for our future together Phil. I'm SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU!!! Love you SO f****** much."
How very sweet, huh?
