So, did the start of a supposed #SummerOfAnswers actually provide answers?
Yes, a few. But in typical Rosewood fashion, Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 1 left us with more questions than anything else.
We picked up with the gals still being held prisoner at Charles' place, where the host entertained them with such games as dress up (like corpses) and hide-and-seek-or-die.
Back in town, Detective Tanner was still using Alison as bait to lure in Andrew, who is suspected of abducting Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily.
With help from Ezra and Caleb, though, Alison snuck out of her home and tried to track Andrew down herself. Only for her car's built-in GPS to tell her to open her trunk.
Inside, she found a greeting card that ordered her to "put on these clothes and start walking… or they die."
Back to the Liars: after three weeks of being held captive (dying of thirst, wondering if they were missing a kidney, etc/), the girls decided to burn the place down - and they did.
Their plan worked and they escaped.
It was actually pretty moving to see the ladies reunited with their loved ones after having gone through so much trauma:
Go watch Pretty Little Liars online to see Caleb and Hanna embrace... Spencer and Toby make out... and Emily seem to share an intimate moment with Alison.
So all was well that ended well? Not quite.
During the closing moments of the hour, cops entered Charles' compound and discovered a sixth girl trembling in fear. It was Sara Harvey, who went missing around the same time as Alison (originally) did.
Cue the dramatic music and start to wonder: Where will this go on Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 2?!?
We can't wait to find out. Is it next Tuesday yet?!?
