Janet Waldo Dies; Voice of Judy Jetson Was 96 Jun 14th 2016, 12:55, by Hilton Hater Janet Waldo, a voice actress best known for portraying Judy Jetson on animated hit The Jetsons from 1962 to 1987, has died. She was 96 years old. Waldo's daughter confirmed the sad news to ABC News, telling the outlet that her mother was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor five years ago. Waldo will forever be remembered as the voice of Judy, the daughter of George and Jane Jetson on a series that ran for decades. It centered on a cartoon family many years in the future, along with their flying cars, robotic maid and other futuristic features. The actress, however, brought dozens of cartoon characters to life during her long career, which spanned from 1938 to 2000. She also provided the voices of Josie and the Pussycats' Josie (1970-1972), Wacky Races' Penelope Pitstop (1968–1970), The Addams Family's Morticia (1973) and The Smufs' Hogatha (1981–1989). Waldo was the last surviving member of The Jetsons cast. George O'Hanlon, who voiced George Jetson, died back in 1989. Waldo's husband, meanwhile, passed away in 1994.
