Now that the world has met the new royal baby, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, it is time for some family bonding for Kate Middleton and Prince William.
Kate is eager to bond with her baby out of the spotlight. Princess Charlotte was born on May 2, and mommy and baby left the hospital only 12 hours later.
Now, Kate and William are headed for family vacation.
The couple was seen leaving Kensington Palace Wednesday, May 6. Us confirmed that the royal family is headed to the country with their two children.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left Kensington Palace around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Prince William took the driver's seat of his Range Rover and drove Kate and family the 116-mile trek to Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
The two-and-a-half hour drive is a long trip for 4-day-old Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge. But the journey will give big brother Prince George, 2, some time to get to know his little sister.
Kate, who looked immaculate just after giving birth, smiled to the photographers. She was casual with her hair pulled back, a floral scarf, and dangly pearl earrings.
Prince William has plenty of time for this trip; he is currently on paternity leave until June 1.
Middleton will also take the next few months off to care for the children, though she will have the help of a new night maternity nurse.
Anmer Hall is a favorite hot spot for Kate and William. They often resort to the area for quality time and vacation.
