Michael Clarke Duncan remains in a Los Angeles hospital following his cardiac arrest on Friday, but sources say the actor is progressing well and doctors are hopeful for a full recovery.
The actor collapsed at home and was given CPR by girlfriend Omarosa, and insiders now tell TMZ the former Oscar nominee "is fighting like a mutha" for his life.
Duncan has been on a respirator since his admission, but he's "breathing above the respirator," those in the know claim, adding that he has a "very strong heartbeat" and physicians are optimistic he'll be okay.
But it might not be an easy journey.
The actor is sedated and it's conceivable he may suffer some kind of paralysis, though doctors believe those odds have slipped over the last couple days. We'll keep readers apprised of Duncan's condition and we hope it only changes for the better going forward.
