Beyonce Performs "I Was Here" on World Humanitarian Day Aug 20th 2012, 12:44 Beyonce performed another emotional version of "I Was Here" over the weekend. Following the official video for this ballad, which takes fans behind the scenes of the singer's life, along with a 9/11 tribute set to its inspiring words, the artist taped a version at the United Nations in honor of yesterday's World Humanitarian Day. As described on the occasion's official website, this event is meant to "recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others." It coincides with the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed 22 UN staff.
