They may be done fighting in court, but the battle for public opinion is only just starting for Usher and Tameka Foster.
Not long after the singer sat with Oprah and labeled his ex-wife's accusations against him an "attack," Foster explained to Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell last night that she needs to "clear a few things up."
For example: enough with those gold-digging assertions, please!
"I think this is the typical stereotype," Foster said in response to those who believe she married Usher for his money.
"If a woman who has lesser means - even if she is successful and hard-working and does her thing in her own right - marries someone, that's what they call 'marrying up,' I guess. Someone who has more means or more money, they're automatically a gold digger...
"The woman is always the gold digger. It's kind of an insult to the men because it implies they're not lovable."
Foster and Usher were married in 2007, about five months after she became pregnant with their first child.
They divorced last year and Usher was finally awarded primary custody of the kids on August 24.
But Foster isn't done trashing their father to anyone who will listen. She reiterated in this interview that her ex slept with one of her bridesmaids during their marriage.
"He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation. I had suspected it for some time," Foster told O'Dell. "I hate to say it, but I somewhat empathize with her...
"She fell into somewhat of a trap. I think that she got very close to him as a result of being my friend and I feel like he used it to his advantage."
