I hope the judges will look past my exterior and give a fat boy a chance.

So said Freddie Combs on The X Factor last night, as the 40-year old minister who is confined to a wheelchair due to his weight auditioned for the competition with "Wind Beneath My Wings."

Could someone in this condition really handle the rigors of training and touring? Who cares?!? For one evening at least, America simply viewed Combs as a man with a terrific voice.
