Beyonce Pens Letter to President Obama on Election Day; Jay-Z Raps Support in Ohio Nov 6th 2012, 15:47 With election day now upon us, Beyonce Knowles has some kind thoughts to share with fans about her preferred presidential candidate, Barack Obama. Meanwhile, her husband Jay-Z rapped his support for Obama at an Ohio rally: Jay-Z - 99 Problems (But Mitt Ain't One) The R&B singer posted a handwritten letter on Monday to the 44th U.S. president on her website praising his leadership and expressing her support: "Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves. You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be." Bey and hubby Jay-Z, of course, are big boosters and friends of the president and his wife, Michelle Obama, throwing a $40,000-per-person fundraiser in September. Knowles has hailed Michelle Obama as a "truly strong African-American woman." In her latest missive, the "Halo" singer was even more glowing about the example she says Barack has set for the next generation, particularly her daughter Blue Ivy. "You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be," she added in praise of Obama. For his part, per the Huffington Post, Jay-Z expressed his support by performing at an Obama rally in Ohio Monday afternoon and tweaking some lyrics in his hit "99 Problems." "If you're having world problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but Mitt ain't one," he rapped. Well played, Jay.
