Man Sues Cat Owner For $100K After Attack, May or May Not Be Her Husband Apr 2nd 2013, 14:04 An Illinois man is suing a cat owner who may or may not be his wife for $100,000 after he was house-sitting for her and and her feline went OFF on him. William Baxter of Homer Glen, Ill., claims he was "viciously attacked, bit and clawed" by the cat, causing "significant" injuries to his ring finger and left arm. The cat's owner, a Christine Bobak, should have known the cat was dangerous, the lawsuit alleges, since it's apparently attacked others before. Of course, there has to be more to this story, right? Right ... A Facebook profile belonging to a Billy Baxter, of Homer Glen, indicates he is in fact married to a Christine Bobak, also of Homer Glen. It is uncertain whether the Baxter and Bobak involved in the lawsuit are that couple or whether they are married, but it seems like a fairly safe bet. Baxter's lawyer wouldn't comment on the marriage. Or the case. "That's not something I really want to get into and talk about," Michael Shammas said to the Chicago Sun-Times. "I'd rather keep it in the courthouse." The case's first court appearance is scheduled for July 10. Expect the claws to REALLY come out then. Sorry.
