Hillary Clinton is now on Twitter, and her arrival on the social media scene immediately sparked speculation about her desire to run for president in 2016.
"Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD ..."
It's the "TBD" that has prompted a flurry of interest. Is that code for a second presidential run? Or just a truthful acknowledgment that her future is ... TBD?
A person probably can't run for president in 2016 without a Twitter handle, and Clinton's fun bio shows her credentials with humor and self-deprecation.
Even her Avatar was funny. It's the photo by Diana Walker that inspired the hilarious Texts From Hillary Tumblr started by Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe.
Smith and Lambe now have the distinction of shout-outs in Hill's first Tweet: "Thanks for the inspiration @ASmith83 & @Sllambe - I'll take it from here ... #tweetsfromhillary."

By allowing politicians to cut out the elected officials, reporters, and pundits who tell voters what to think, Twitter has become a must-have in the political world.
Or just the public world. Republican strategist Kevin Madden says Twitter has become so essential these days that it doesn't necessarily foretell a 2016 run:
"It's just a sure sign that Twitter is now standard operating procedure as a communications tool for public figures interested in staying in touch with audiences."
