Don't cry for Liam Hemsworth, folks. You may even want to give the actor a fist pound.
He got away from Miley Cyrus right before she started to alienate a large percentage of her fan base, he's starring in Catching Fire and he tells The Associated Press than everything is A-OK with him at the moment.
"These days, I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been," the actor told reporters on Thursday.
Hemsworth didn't mention Miley by name at any point, but did say he's "learned so much" since he moved to Hollywood from Australia in 2008.
"The first few years in L.A. were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself," he explained.
Once he started dating Cyrus, that meant dealing with the paparazzi at all times, and also with various rumors about his love life. To wit: Did he cheat on his then-fiancee with Eiza Gonzalez?
"What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," Liam says. "I know I'm a good person."
Hemsworth also credits his Hunger Games costar with helping him move forward in a positive manner.
He only has very positive things to say about Jennifer Lawrence.
