Remember back in 2008 when every lunatic with an anti-Obama agenda claimed the President-to-be was a closet Muslim?
Well, now it seems the torch has been passed, and now it's up to Obama's allies to question his religious convictions.
Appearing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart recently, comedian and liberal pundit Bill Maher made the strange declaration that Obama is "a drop-dead atheist."
While if the same words came out of Bill O'Reilly's mouth, they'd be taken as an attack against the President's moral character,coming from Maher the bizarre claim is the verbal equivalent of putting his arm around Obama's shoulder and posing for a selfie.
"He's just like me," the famously anti-religion Maher seems to be saying, while at the same time defending Obama's affiliation with Rev. Jeremiah Wright as a political maneuver gone awry, rather than a case of Obama being spiritually mentored by a racist agitator.
And Maher isn't the only Obama supporter to (unintentionally?) turn on the President recently.
In a radio interview last week, Kanye West slammed Obama and his efficacy as president, stating, "You can't effect change from inside the White House."
Of course, the presidential scandal that really got the Internet's blood boiling this week stemmed from a photo of Obama reaching over the sneeze guard at Chipotle.
It's like wiretap whoever you want, dude, but don't go get gettin' your germs all up in everyone's carnitas!
