If there's one thing James Franco knows, it's ... well... a lot of things.
The guy is an actor, an author, a poet, a graduate school student, sort of a sketchball, possibly a Lindsay Lohan sex partner and most definitely a major selfie taker.
Sometimes, however, selfies snapped by fans of the actor (especially those who posed alongside Franco during his Broadway run in Of Mice and Men) don't come out well - but Franco wants you to know this isn't his fault.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show yesterday, the former Academy Awards host taught Jimmy Fallon a few lessons about taking a proper selfie, pointing out where so many people go so very wrong.

A lesson NOT covered by Franco? Be sure lightning isn't about to hit the beach just as you set up your phone.
Franco may love to snap selfies alone or with others, but he isn't the most prominent selfie-snapper in Hollywood.
