It was years in the making, but The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 4 Episode 19 finally saw the big, bad breakup we have been waiting for.
Brandi Glanville dumped Lisa Vanderpump as a friend, and HARD.
On one hand, there were no epic fireworks, as many of those had already taken place over the course of the season. They went out with a whimper.
On the other hand, there was an element of closure long overdue.
What we saw on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 4 Episode 19 was more a culmination of a lot of things than any sort of major revelation.
Lisa was becoming a meddler. Her behavior was becoming detrimental to Brandi's growth as a person. Words were exchanged. They drifted apart.
It all came to a head when Brandi pulled Lisa aside at a party to celebrate Beverly Hills (yes, the existence of the city warrants a massive celebration).
The confrontation could have been epically terrible. But it wasn't.
Brandi Glanville, known for running her mouth first and asking questions later, clearly gave her comments a lot of thought before talking this time.
Bottom line, she doesn't want to be Lisa's pawn going forward.
Although she was grateful for the things she'd done for her, and they'll always have that bond, Brandi simply wanted Lisa to pick her over Scheana Marie.
Lisa did not really respond to that ultimatum, and that's that.
While it seems like it's incredibly immature to ask someone to pick sides like that when we're talking about grown adults, the circumstances are unique.
Vanderpump never made any sort of effort to separate the two to broker peace; in fact, at times it felt like she relished forcing Scheana Marie on Brandi.
This is a young, hot waitress who banged Brandi's husband. She saw it as a power play, and didn't take kindly to it from a woman she trusted for years.
Glanville may be a lot of things, but she was kinda jerked around by her supposed "friend" for some time, and eventually decided to pull the plug here.
Is she perfect. FAR from it. But Monday she was honest.
