At last week's Critic's Choice Awards, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston were under the same roof for the first time in several years.
Naturally, the tabloids had a field day with this meeting of the exes, even going so far as to estimate exactly how close they got to one another.
(One magazine claimed they were within 50 feet at one point. It's a miracle that that much passive-aggression in one place didn't cause the planet to explode.)
Sadly, neither women leapt over a table and planted a $3,000 heel on the other one's throat while Harvey Weinstein looked on in titillated horror, but sources say ten years after the famous Pitt Split there's still no love lost between Angie and Jen.
"Angie had their teams make sure they wouldn't cross paths," a source tells Star magazine.
Makes sense. After all, Angie's other high-profile ex, Billy Bob Thornton, recently said sex with Aniston is one of his lifelong goals. Just when you thought it couldn't get any more awkward between these two.
"Jen and Angelina never spoke to each other, but you could tell they were very aware of each other's presence," the source claims. "You could really sense the tension between them. Their animosity is baffling, but the truth is, they hate each other and always will."
Uh...is there animosity baffling? Last we checked, Jolie stole Aniston's husband, and sure, it was ten years ago, but it's not the sort of thing you just shrug off.
Sadly, it looks as though we'll never get the confrontation we'd always hoped for from these two, and the beef will continue to play out in the form of side-eyed glances and backhanded compliments.
We recently learned that Aniston is trying to get pregnant, so hopefully she's planning to launch some sort of epic procreation race against the new Mrs. Jolie-Pitt.
