In news that's both surprising and not at all surprising at the same time, Chris Brown is the father of a baby girl born nine months ago, according to a new report.
The baby's mother is a 31-year-old former model named Nia, who TMZ says has known Chris for several years, but is not together with him romantically.
Right now, at least. Nine months ago? Clearly a different story.
No word on how Chris' main squeeze Karrueche Tran feels about this, but these two split up so often, the "we were on a break" excuse might actually work.
In fact, it does not appear Chris and Kae were dating in the summer of 2013, which is when he likely got Nia pregnant if the baby girl is nine months old.
Ironically, it's been rumored that Chris got Karrueche Tran pregnant numerous times over the years, but each of those reports turned out to be bogus.
As for the baby mama? Expect her full name and a ton of photos to hit the 'net within a matter of hours. But as of this moment, Nia is shrouded in mystery.
Sources connected to both Nia and Chris say that the two are on very good terms now, and that the 25-year-old Chris is happy about being a father.
Clearly, there is no formal child support or custody pact in place, which is how they were able to keep this whole thing quiet for a surprisingly long time.
One can only assume that the singer is supporting his daughter behind the scenes, and substantially so. So congratulations to Chris and Nia ... right?!
Sorry Karrueche. Maybe someday you'll also get the honor ...
