Tuesday night on Lifetime, Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 28 saw two of the young dancers square off in a showdown for the ages.

When you watch Dance Moms online this week, you're in for another crazy ride, because the stakes keep getting higher and higher.
As you know, the ongoing drama has involved Kalani Hilliker and her mom Kira Girard, and whether they will be bolting the ALDC.
In last night's "Solo Battle: Round 1," Kalani returned to Dance Moms, and it looks like she's back for good. What a huge shocker.
We have no doubt that Kira Girard and Abby Lee Miller do hate each other, but can you get more scripted and contrived than this?
"If it was my choice, I would not be here," Kira said, causing drama by showing up without advance notice along with young Kalani.
This was the second time the duo walked out, only to return, so no one should have been truly thrown off by their inevitable arrival.
Just the same, Abby refused to put Kalani in the group number because she missed a day of rehearsal, and argued with Kira over it.
Miller may be an obnoxious, grating megalomaniac, but she does have a point here. Kalani voluntarily left the company, if you recall.
Being asked to rework the entire dance when she walks back in after walking out is hardly something Abby Lee is obligated to do.
In fact, it might jeopardize what the rest of the students have already been working on. It's not even necessarily her being spiteful.
Kalani still went to the competition, too, comforting JoJo Siwa after she missed some steps on her solo like a good team member.
Leading up to Nationals, it's a good thing for the ALDC that Kalani is back in the mix ... assuming Kira doesn't try to murder Abby.
