Miley Cyrus to Host 2015 MTV Video Music Awards Jul 21st 2015, 09:43, by Hilton Hater Prepare your foam fingers and stick out your tongues, people. Miley Cyrus is hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards! The singer and the network made the announcement on Monday evening, with Miley Tweeting: "F-ck yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm." Cyrus, of course, has quite a history with this ceremony. In 2013, she nearly destroyed the Internet in essentially coming out as a full-grown adult by Twerking and grinding her way through a raunchy duet with Robin Thicke on "Blurred Lines." Relive that controversial performance here: Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke - "Blurred Lines" A year later, Miley sent homeless man Jesse Helt on stage to deliver a speech about poverty upon her winning Video of the Year. That also created controversy when it came out that there was a warrant for Helt's arrest... and that he wasn't really homeless. Cyrus isn't expected to garner any nods herself this time around, removing any conflict of interest, because she hasn't released a new music video within the last year.
