Patric Jones says she's not suing Judge Judy just to get money.
The former spouse of a producer for Judy (real name) Judith Sheindlin is suing her over some expensive china and silverware she claims is worth $514,000.
Perry Wander, Jones' attorney, told E! News that all his client wants are the dishes - purchased during her marriage to producer Randall Douthit - back.
"She wants the china," Wander says, "There is an emotional attachment to this family china and silverware. She wants it back. She doesn't want the money."
So why is she suing Judge Judy?
The attorney added, "The case is about getting the china back from Judge Judy and the case is basically unwinding what was basically a fraudulent transaction."
Because both spouses did not consent to the deal, which he says Judy conspired with him to make, it is allegedly "voidable under California law."
Wander admits that Sheindlins's conduct may not have violated the letter of the law, but claims "regardless of whether it is legal or illegal it is unethical."
Judge Judy responded with the following statement: "I have not seen any complaint by the former Mrs. Douthit, however, I don't owe this lady a cent."
