Carrie Underwood Tweets Rage Over Tennessee Livestock Video Bill Apr 23rd 2013, 10:14 Carrie Underwood is Tweeting mad. The former American Idol winner shared her feelings last week over a Tennessee bill approved by the House Agriculture Subcommittee that would require employees who shoot video of a farmer's livestock practices to turn over that unedited footage to authorities within 24 hours. "Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill," Underwood wrote. "If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who's with me?" (Note to Underwood: Threatening to show up at a guy's house may not be the kind of deterrent you think it is) Opponents of this bill believe it will help farmers cover up animal abuse. However, past activists have faced criticism for waiting a very long time before altering officials to the immoral actions of farmers or livestock operators. If this bill passes, it would be no different than current state law that forces the reporting of child abuse to authorities.
