Chris Pine and Dominique Piek have called it quits.
An insider tells Us Weekly that the actor and the model actually split "awhile ago," but word of the break up only seeped out today.
"It was a mutual call," another insider says of their breakup. "They both needed their space. She has been very busy with her modeling work and traveling. He's got Star Trek and his other projects keeping him busy."
The South African beauty and the Star Trek: Into Darkness star started dating in the fall of 2011.
