In tragic news, a 16-year-old boy died at a California high school after being hit in the chest by a softball during gym class, according to news reports.
Taylor Dorman was playing "Over the Line," an improvised softball game, during gym class Wednesday when he was struck in the chest with a ball.

Ramona High School Principal Tony Newman said that "after being hit, Taylor complained of his chest hurting then he collapsed," but briefly recovered.
Fellow students told KFMB-TV San Diego that Dorman continued playing the game and seemed fine for about 20 minutes, then collapsed a second time.
A helicopter transferred Dorman to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido where he died a few hours later. The cause of Dorman's death was not reported.
It's not clear if a heart condition played a role, but friends of the student, who played football, said his father also died of a heart attack at a young age.
