Todd Harrell, the bassist for the rock group 3 Doors Down, was reportedly arrested by police Friday night and charged with vehicular homicide.
According to the police, Harrell was driving at high speeds in Nashville, Tenn., when his car clipped a Ford pickup truck, which then went out of control.
The Ford hit a guard rail, went over an embankment and flipped. The driver, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Harrell showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. He admitted he had been drinking hard cider and taking prescription Lortab and Xanax.
He also had Oxycodone and Oxymorphone pills on his person.
Harrell was charged with vehicular homicide and bringing controlled substances into jail (the two Oxy pills) and is being held on $100,000 bond.
