Cee Lo Green: Returning to The Voice Season 5! May 20th 2013, 19:45 No judging carousel or drama at NBC a la American Idol or X Factor. Cee Lo Green is returning to The Voice next season, along with Christina Aguilera. Christina's return for Season 5 was announced last week. She and Green will replace their replacements, Shakira and Usher, this fall. But fret not, fans of the mononymed duo - Shakira and Usher won't be gone for good. They'll be back for Season 6, which will air in mid-season 2014! Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain in the swiveling spaceship chairs throughout for the NBC hit singing show, which is going strong. Last week The Voice narrowly edged out Idol in weekly ratings, despite Candice Glover being crowned the winner on the latter's 12th season finale.
